Hendersonville, Tennessee – A man and a woman found themselves in police custody in Hendersonville after license plate readers identified them as driving a stolen vehicle linked to an armed carjacking in Nashville. The Hendersonville Police Department (HPD) swiftly responded to this alarming situation.
The license plate readers employed by HPD triggered an alert when they detected a stolen vehicle entering the city on a Monday. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Nashville in connection with an armed carjacking, leading to immediate action by local law enforcement.
Upon locating the stolen vehicle, officers initiated a high-speed pursuit in an effort to apprehend the suspects. Despite the deployment of spike strips by the police to stop the vehicle, the suspects continued to evade capture, further escalating the situation.
However, a short time later, HPD units, with valuable assistance from Sumner County deputies, successfully blocked the fleeing vehicle. This strategic maneuver allowed law enforcement to apprehend both the driver, identified as 33-year-old Kneali Gregory from Nashville, and the passenger, 41-year-old Brandon Hills.
During the incident, Gregory reportedly rammed several police vehicles in an attempt to escape, but fortunately, no injuries were reported among law enforcement officers or civilians.
