Nashville, Tennessee – A recent incident involving a 33-year-old woman, Hannah Williams, has led to serious felony charges following a series of events late last December. The case unfolded on Wednesday, Dec. 27, when detectives were notified about a stolen vehicle sighted near Clay Street and Cephas Street.
Detectives, with the aid of Air One, located the stolen vehicle hidden in an alleyway between Cephas Street and 11th Avenue North. As the authorities approached, the vehicle, which was occupied, began to reverse out of the alley.
During the arrest, Hannah Williams, who was one of the occupants and later identified as being 33 years old, made a startling confession to the officers. She told them she had “swallowed one gram of fentanyl and methamphetamine when she saw law enforcement initiate blue lights.” This admission necessitated immediate medical attention, and Williams was taken to General Hospital for evaluation.
The subsequent investigation revealed more incriminating evidence. The vehicle, confirmed as stolen, contained a black box on the front passenger seat. This box held 1.1 grams of fentanyl, 1.2 grams of methamphetamine, and a glass pipe, typically used for smoking narcotics. The drugs were carefully packaged, with the methamphetamine in a plastic bag and the fentanyl wrapped in paper, clearly labeled “fentanyl.”
Further details emerged, implicating Williams directly in the theft. She was found in the driver’s seat of the stolen vehicle at the time of the incident. A key detail that linked her to the vehicle was the discovery of a key fob, belonging to the stolen vehicle, found hidden in her undergarments.
As a result of these findings, Williams now faces a total of 11 charges. These charges include vehicle theft, possession of meth, possession of fentanyl, and tampering with evidence. This case highlights the complexities and dangers law enforcement officers face daily and the seriousness of drug-related crimes in our communities.
