Holiday sanitation schedule changes and city facility closures announced

Goodlettsville, Tennessee – As the holiday season approaches, residents need to be aware of changes to the sanitation schedule and city facility operations. This year, there will be notable adjustments due to the holiday celebrations.

There will be no trash collection on the following holidays: Christmas Day (12/25/2023) and New Year’s Day (1/1/2024). As a result, trash pickup for the week of Christmas and New Year will experience a one-day delay. This change is essential for residents to note to avoid any confusion regarding their trash disposal during these weeks.

In Sumner County, recycling collection is scheduled for December 30, 2023. Meanwhile, residents in Davidson County should prepare their recyclables for collection on January 6, 2024.

Additionally, city offices and facilities will be closed on the following days: December 22, December 25, and January 1. These closures align with the holiday season, impacting various public services.
