Stay Warm Shelter at First Baptist Church opening doors to those in need

Gallatin, Tennessee – In response to the cold weather, the Stay Warm Shelter at First Baptist Church in Gallatin is opening its doors to those in need of a warm place to stay during the chilly nights. The shelter will be operational from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on several upcoming dates, providing a safe and warm environment for the community.

The shelter will be open on the following dates:

  • Monday, January 15th
  • Tuesday, January 16th
  • Wednesday, January 17th
  • Thursday, January 18th

Located at 260 East Winchester Street in Gallatin, First Baptist Church is strategically placed to offer refuge from the cold. However, the shelter’s operation on Monday and Tuesday nights is dependent on road conditions, a crucial factor for the safety of those traveling to the shelter.

The church emphasizes the community’s role in this endeavor, highlighting the need for volunteers. The Stay Warm Shelter is a community-driven initiative, relying on the goodwill and support of individuals and groups who wish to make a positive impact. Anyone interested in volunteering, either individually or as a group, is encouraged to contact the shelter at (615) 974-1477 or (615) 230-5906.
