Operation Details and Results

The checks were conducted on Monday, focusing on businesses within the city limits. The operation was a part of the department’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of the community, particularly young individuals, from the dangers of underage access to alcohol and tobacco products.

Out of the 27 businesses that were scrutinized during these checks, four were found to be non-compliant with the legal requirements. As a result of this operation, the following individuals were charged with selling alcoholic or vape/tobacco products to underage persons:

  • Erin Knowles, 22, employed at Cash Saver located at 213 West Main Street.

These charges highlight a serious issue within the community concerning the accessibility of restricted substances to minors. The Hendersonville Police Department’s proactive approach in conducting these checks serves as a reminder to all businesses about the importance of complying with the law.
