Gallatin Fire Dept. wins Sumner County Battle of the Badges

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. — A spirited gathering of firefighters, police officers, and deputies converged at Liberty Creek High School’s court this past Saturday for the beloved second annual Sumner County Battle of the Badges.

The funds raised during this event were generously contributed to Special Olympics Area 21.

Participating teams included representatives from the Gallatin Fire Department, the Gallatin Police Department, the Hendersonville Fire Department, the Hendersonville Police Department, the Goodlettsville Police Department, and the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, as confirmed by local authorities.

An exciting halftime show featured unified basketball teams from both Cheatham and Sumner counties.

The event was not just a display of athletic prowess; TSSAA referees generously volunteered to oversee the games, and various local businesses supported the event through donations and sponsorships.
